The latest run of success in the T20 competition doesn't just happen by accident; it's taken a lot of work over the Winter to get to where we are today and I think our recent performances can be put down to two main things.
Firstly, there is a lot of belief in the camp. Head coach Erin Osborne really helped instill the concept of who we are and who we can be as a team from the get-go and, secondly, we are all very clear in what our individual roles are.
On the field, there's definitely a focus on the basics - we have to stick to what we know and to our strengths. There is a lot of value for this team in what you could call repeatability. Do what we are good at on a consistent basis.
At times, of course, we will have to adapt and that is more of a work in progress. For example, we didn't do so well at that in the Lancashire game (lost by seven wickets) where we were playing on a very different surface to what we are used to. There is also some work to do on the bowling powerplay but, overall, we are very much believing in ourselves and in each other.
