We are all now as a group focused on the resumption of the T20 Vitality games and the batters, for one, will be making sure we carry on that momentum of putting pressure on the bowlers from the start.
We did this in the recent One Day Cup games too and that was a good mindset to be in. When you look at the game in Exmouth, for example, we could have taken our time to get to what was a low total we were chasing but we got there in less than half the overs we had available.
I enjoyed opening in that format with Bex (Rebecca Odgers). I still have to work a bit on that shift in mentality to opening in 50-over cricket but I think it worked pretty well overall. What I do know for sure is that Bex and I complement each other well and we will look to continue to be on the front foot, especially in run chases, in the next series of T20 games. We and the batters immediately below us in the order are setting the tone for the rest of the girls in the middle order and beyond and we want to make sure that confidence goes through the whole batting line-up.
