This weekend sees the finals of The Hundred and I'm listening to the collective sighs and shrugs of shoulders around the country.
Barring youngsters who are probably enthused about seeing their favourite players, and the money men of course, there is little love lost for the competition among most stalwart cricket supporters.
But with all the criticism of the tournament, most of it highly justified, there is one group of people who might tend to get overlooked in terms of what they might think about it all, and that is the players themselves.
For the players, it is an opportunity to pitch themselves against the best cricketers in the world and this is something that clearly should not be dismissed.
